Safeguarding Policy

The safety and welfare of all members — particularly children and vulnerable adults — is our highest priority.

Hale Barns Tennis Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and adults at risk. We believe everyone who participates in tennis at our club should be able to do so in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Our Commitment

We follow the LTA's safeguarding policies and procedures and are committed to: ensuring the welfare of children and adults at risk; promoting a safe environment for all; responding appropriately to any safeguarding concerns; and working in partnership with statutory agencies where required.

DBS Checks & Training

All coaches and volunteers who work regularly with children hold a current Enhanced DBS check. All relevant staff and volunteers complete LTA-approved safeguarding training and keep their knowledge up to date.

Reporting Concerns

If you have any concerns about the safety or welfare of a child or adult at risk, please contact our Club Safeguarding Officer immediately. You can also contact the LTA Safeguarding team or your local children's services. In an emergency, always call 999.

Safeguarding Contact

For safeguarding concerns, contact the club at secretary@halebarnstennis.co.uk. For LTA guidance, visit lta.org.uk/safeguarding. In an emergency, call 999.

This policy is reviewed annually. For safeguarding concerns, contact the committee immediately or call 999 in an emergency.
